When using the MSI installer, the default installation path is
  • 3.5 --- %PROGRAMFILES%\MSBuild\ExtensionPack
  • 4.0 --- %PROGRAMFILES%\MSBuild\ExtensionPack\4.0
  • Note*: if you do not install the MSBuild Extension Pack to the default installation path, you will need to alter the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.tasks file as it refers to $(MSBuildExtensionsPath) which always refers to %PROGRAMFILES%.
A shortcut will be created in your Start Menu for quick access to this Help file and the Home Page:

Additionally, having zip files nested like 7 million layers deep is VERY annoying and slow to unpack. Can you please just switch to using regular folders in your zip files, please? -- And one installer, in the root directory, instead of four (which again, are several zip files deep) would also be nice... :-)

FYI: Installing only the 4.0 packs will not create any start menu shortcuts (I installed both, it wasn't until I installed the 3.5 (x64) one that any start menu items were created. I was able to copy the 4.0 chm file to the group manually (the installations otherwise appear to have succeeded and the files are in the appropriate places).
